1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />WHEREAS, as a participant in the 2010 San Bernardino Valley Regional Urban Water <br />Management Plan, the City of Colton has prepared those portions of the plan applicable to the <br />City of Colton in accordance with the Act and SBX7-7 and, in accordance with applicable <br />legal requirements, has undertaken certain coordination, notice, public involvement, public <br />comment, and other procedures in relation to its 2010 Plan; and, <br />WHEREAS, as authorized by Water Code section 10620(e), AGENCIES have <br />prepared the 2010 San Bernardino Valley Regional Urban Water Management Plan with staff <br />from AGENCIES, with the assistance of consulting professionals, and in cooperation with <br />other governmental agencies, and has utilized and relied upon industry standards and the <br />expertise of industry professionals in preparing its 2010 Plan, and has also utilized the <br />California Department of Water Resources Guidebook to Assist Urban Water Suppliers to <br />Prepare a 2010 Urban Water Management Plan (March 2011) and the California Department <br />of Water Resources Methodologies for Calculating Baseline and Compliance Urban Per Capita <br />Water Use (For the Consistent Implementation of the Water Conservation Act of 2009) <br />(February 2011) in preparing the 2010 San Bernardino Valley Regional Urban Water <br />Management Plan; and, <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with applicable law, including Water Code sections <br />10608.26 and 10642, and Government Code section 6066, a Notice of a Public Hearing <br />regarding City of Colton adoption of the 2010 San Bernardino Valley Regional Urban Water <br />Management Plan was published within the jurisdiction of City of Colton on June 10, 2011 and <br />June 17, 2011; and, <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with applicable law, a public hearing was held on July 5, <br />2011 at 6:00 PM, or soon thereafter, in the City Council Chambers of the City of Colton, 650 <br />North La Cadena Dr., Colton, CA, 92324 in order to provide members of the public and other <br />interested entities with the opportunity to be heard in connection with proposed adoption of the <br />2010 Plan and issues related thereto; and, <br />-2- <br />
