R-92-11 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING TWO NEW PROJECTS TO BE CREATED AND <br />FUNDED BY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton elected to enter into a <br />Cooperation Agreement with the County of San Bernardino in order to receive <br />Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") funds; and <br />WHEREAS, as a "Cooperating City," the City of Colton is allowed to create <br />and modify projects to benefit low and moderate income residents of the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council, as the governing body of the City of Colton, is <br />required by statute to take a formal action approving projects to be funded with CDBG <br />funds that comply with CDBG program regulations and subject to available funding; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council seated a committee, known as the CDBG <br />Committee, comprised of four (4) City Council members and four (4) Planning <br />Commissioners, to review the eligible projects and make funding recommendations to <br />the Council; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton is required to inform the County of San <br />Bernardino regarding the creation of eligible projects to be funded by reprogramming <br />remaining funds and unprogrammed CDBG funds from fiscal year 2010-2011. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Colton, as follows: <br />Section 1. The recitals preceding this Resolution are true and correct and are <br />incorporated into this Resolution by this reference. <br />Section 2.
