2 <br />3 <br />51 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />in the nature of advertising for a business or businesses not located on the same premises as the <br />Sign. <br />"On -Premises Advertising Display" means any structure, housing, Sign, device, figure, <br />statuary, painting, message placard or other contrivance, or any part thereof, which has been <br />designed, constructed, created, intended or engineered to have a useful life of fifteen years or <br />more and intended or used to advertise or to provide data or information in the nature of <br />advertising for a business or businesses located on the same premises as the Sign. <br />"Painted Sign" means a Sign which is comprised only of paint applied on a Building or <br />structure, except for Murals, as defined by this section. <br />"Permanent Window Sign" means a Sign painted, attached, glued or otherwise affixed to a <br />window or located within three feet of the interior side of the window or otherwise easily visible <br />from the exterior of the Building. <br />"Pole Sign" means a freestanding Sign in excess of six feet in height which is detached <br />from a Building and is supported by one or more structural elements that are less than one- <br />fourth the width of the Sign Face. See Figure 18.50-2 (Pole Sign). <br />ia.3u-,L: <br />"Political Sign" means a Sign erected prior to an election to advertise or identify a <br />candidate, campaign issue, election proposition or other related matters. <br />"Portable Sign" means a temporary Sign that is not permanently attached to the ground or <br />a Building or not designed to be permanently attached to the ground or a Building, including, <br />but not limited to A -frames, sandwich boards or other freestanding signboards. <br />"Pylon Sign" means a freestanding Sign in excess of six feet in height which is detached <br />from a Building and is supported by one or more structural elements that are architecturally <br />similar to the design of the Sign. Pylon Signs less than six feet in height are prohibited. See <br />Figure 18.50-3 (Pylon Sign). <br />0 <br />
