CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT. The city <br />council of the City of Colton finds the adoption of this ordinance to be statutorily exempt <br />from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to <br />Section 21080.17 of the Public Resources Code because it is an ordinance regarding second <br />units in a single-family or multifamily residential zone to implement the provisions of <br />Government Code Section 65852.2. <br />SECTION 5. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall go into effect and be in <br />full force and operation from and after thirty (30) days after its final passage and adoption. <br />SECTION 6. PUBLICATION. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this <br />ordinance. Not later than fifteen (15) days following the passage of this ordinance, the ordinance, <br />or a summary thereof, along with the names of the City Council members voting for and against <br />the ordinance, shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Colton. <br />SECTION 7. FILING. The city clerk shall submit a copy of this ordinance to the <br />department of housing and community development within 60 days after adoption. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Colton, <br />California, at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 18° day of July, 2017. <br />ATTEST: <br />CAROLINA R.
