The production or wastewater generating processes of the <br />building, structure, facility or installation are substantially <br />independent of an existing source at the same site. In <br />determining whether these are substantially independent, <br />factors such as the extent to which the new facility is integrated <br />with the existing plant, and the extent to which the new facility <br />is engaged in the same general type of activity as the existing <br />source should be considered. <br />57. Non -Categorical Significant Industrial User. A Significant Industrial User who <br />is not subject to promulgated Categorical Standards. <br />58. Non -Contact Cooling or Heating Water. Water discharge from any use which <br />has no direct contact with any raw material, intermediate or final product, and to which the <br />only Pollutant added is heat. <br />59. Non-domestic Wastewater. All Wastewater except Domestic Wastewater and <br />Unpolluted Water as defined herein. Non-domestic Wastewater shall include, but not be <br />limited to, Wastewater resulting from industrial, commercial, producing, manufacturing, <br />processing, institutional, governmental, and agricultural operations, and brine Wastewater <br />resulting from the regeneration of water conditioning devices. All liquid Wastewater hauled <br />by truck, rail, or any other means shall also be considered as Non-domestic Wastewater, <br />regardless of the original source of the wastes. <br />60. Non -Significant Categorical Industrial User (NSCIU). A Categorical Industrial <br />User that meets all of the following requirements: (a) never discharges more than 100 <br />gallons per day of a total categorical wastewater (excluding sanitary, non -contact cooling <br />and boiler blowdown wastewater, unless specifically included in the applicable <br />13 <br />
