O-02-20. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ORAL REPORTS AND COMMENTS <br />Comments from Mayor and Council on various issues and activities throughout the community. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS <br />City Manager Smith referenced the February 2020 Western City magazine article entitled Colton Works With <br />Businesses to Divert Organic Waste; in partnership with its contract waste hauler; the City of Colton enrolled <br />106 commercial business as of December 2019; this diverts 16,560 gallons of food and green waste per month <br />and has substantially reduced the city’s waste since the program began in 2018; as a result the City of Colton is <br />one of ILG’ (Institute for Local Government) 2019 Beacon Sustainability Best Practices Spotlight Award winners. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />At 7:17 p.m. Mayor Navarro adjourned the Regular Council Meeting in Memorium of Kimberly Sinclair, <br />Customer Service Representative II; and the child of Toni Negrete. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />_________________________________ <br />Carolina R.
