2018 DECEMBER 18 CC/CUA/CPFA/CHA MEETING 1 - <br /> <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />CITY COUNCIL/FOR THE CITY OF COLTON/COLTON UTILITY AUTHORITY/ <br />COLTON PUBLIC FINANCING AUTHORITY AND <br />COLTON HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />CLOSED SESSION MINUTES <br /> <br />December 18, 2018 <br /> <br />City Clerk Padilla opened the meeting at 5:00 p.m. Nominations taken for Presiding Officer as Mayor <br />DeLaRosa and Mayor Pro Tem Woods not in attendance. By consensus Mayor-Elect Navarro nominated; so <br />ratified. <br /> <br />Closed Session Meeting was held on the above given date at 5:01 p.m., in the Council Chamber of City Hall, <br />with Mayor-Elect Navarro presiding. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL ROLL CALL <br />Councilmembers present were, Toro, Cisneros, Navarro, González, Mayor Pro Tem Woods (absent), Suchil, and <br />Mayor DeLaRosa (absent). <br /> <br />STAFF PRESENT <br />City Manager Smith, City Attorney Campos, and City Clerk Padilla. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />None <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSION <br />City Attorney Campos announced the City Council would meet in Closed Session to Discuss Item A/B. <br /> <br />A. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - ANTICIPATED LITIGATION <br />Signification Exposure to Litigation, Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956(d)(2)/(e)(1) <br />One (1) Potential Case <br />B. CONFERENCE WITH LABOR NEGOTIATORS <br />Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957.6 <br />Agency designated representatives: Haydee Sainz, Human Resources Director <br />Employee Groups: International Brotherhood of Electric Workers, Local 47 - Electric Division; <br />International Brotherhood of Electric Workers, Local 47 - Water & Wastewater Division; <br /> <br />Mayor-Elect Navarro adjourned the meeting to Closed Session at 5:02 p.m. and at 6:08 p.m., the meeting <br />reconvened, with all members present heretofore. <br /> <br />City Attorney Campos announced that the City Council did meet in Closed Session and discussed Item A/B; <br />with direction to staff and no reportable action. <br /> <br />City Attorney Campos presented reportable action from a previous closed session that is now ripe to report. On <br />August 21, 2018 the City Council on a 7-0 vote authorized settlement in the case of Carisa Green v. City of <br />Colton, Case No. CIVDS 1705872 in the amount of $35,000. A copy of the settlement agreement is on file with <br />the City Clerk and available to the public. <br /> <br />
