2016 JUNE 09 CC/SARDA/CUA/CPFA/CHA SPECIAL MEETING - 2 - <br />Staff Presentation: <br />Anita Agramonte, Finance Director, presented a PowerPoint presentation ‘City of Colton – <br />Fiscal Year 2016-17 – Budget Workshop – June 9, 2016’. <br /> <br />Agenda <br /> Review Election Results – Preliminary Elections Results <br /> <br /> Authorized Positions List <br /> Current Vacancies <br /> Review of Acting Assignments <br /> Staffing Recommendations <br /> Citywide Organizational Chart <br /> <br /> General Fund Transfer Overview <br /> General Fund Overview <br /> Electric Utility Overview <br /> <br /> Citywide Overview <br /> <br />City Manager Smith responded to the Council inquiry as to the development of the Oversight <br />Committee as directed; handled similar as to how Council appoint commissioners; reside nts will <br />come in and fill out an application; item to be on the agenda for June 21, 2016 or the subsequent <br />council meeting; there is no timing element, as to right away; would at least meet in advance of <br />the Mid-Year Budget process to start the appointees to get involved. <br /> <br />Current Vacancy List – 34 vacant positions of which Council authorized 14 to be filled. <br /> <br />Concerns stated by Councilmembers present with discussion and clarification provided by City <br />Manager Smith and staff included: <br /> Each department vacancy reviewed separately; <br /> Continued support for the authorized 14 vacant positions as outlined; <br /> <br />Current Acting Assignments – Assuming all vacant positions are filled, acting assignments will <br />be terminated; <br /> <br />Staffing Recommendation <br /> Fill All Authorized Vacant Positions <br /> No New General Fund Positions Proposed <br /> Funded Staffing Requests <br /> <br />Concerns stated by Councilmembers present with discussion and clarification provided by City <br />Manager Smith and staff included: <br /> Financial impact of the requests; <br /> Recommended for the next fiscal year; <br /> Any recommended for Utilities Department will depend on the audit; <br /> <br /> <br />
