2016 DECEMBER 06 REG CC/SARDA/CUA/CPFA/CHA MEETING 3 - <br />California State Senate <br />Michael Townsend, representative for Connie Leyva, Senator, State of California, 20th District, presented a <br />certificate on behalf of Senator Leyva. <br /> <br />Mayor DeLaRosa presented the Sister City Fountain which was given to the City of Colton as a recognition of <br />the alliance as a Sister City from the State of Zacatecas, City of Rio Honde Grande; accepted by <br />Councilmember Bennett. <br /> <br />In addition a Gavel/Sound Board with the inscription of her name and term of office on behalf of the full <br />Council; accepted by Councilmember Bennett. <br /> <br />San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors <br />Supervisor Josie Gonzales, Fifth District, San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors , presented a Resolution <br />adopted by the full board of the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors honoring her retirement and <br />contribution to the City of Colton. <br /> <br />COMMENTS FROM OUTGOING CITY OFFICIAL <br /> <br />Personal Comments from outgoing City Official <br />Councilmember Bennett shared/presented comments as to the successful projects which occurred during her 22 <br />years on the Council; during her years of service she served as Councilmember for District 5 as well as the <br />Office of Mayor for the City of Colton. <br /> <br />Personal Comments to outgoing City Official from the sitting Council <br />Each sitting elected official (CM Toro/CM Jorrin/CM Navarro/CM González/MPT Suchil/ City Treasurer De <br />La Torre and Mayor DeLaRosa) acknowledged and commented on the service and dedication of <br />Councilmember Bennett. <br /> <br />OATH OF OFFICE <br />City Clerk Carolina R. Padilla called the newly-elected City Officials forward. The Oath of Office and the <br />Certificate of Election issued by City Clerk Carolina R. Padilla. <br /> <br />The Honorable Josie Gonzales, 5th District Supervisor, San Bernardino County, administered the Ceremonial <br />Oath of Office to Councilmember-Elect Isaac T. Suchil. <br /> <br />Pastor Peter Tasaka, Vineyard Christian Fellowship, administered the Ceremonial Oath of Office to City <br />Treasurer-Elect Aurelio W. De La Torre. <br /> <br />The Oath of Office was presented by San Bernardino County Deputy Sheriff Frank Navarro, Jr. and Los <br />Angeles County Deputy Sheriff Richard Navarro – Deputy Sheriff Frank Navarro, Jr administered the <br />Ceremonial Oath of Office to Councilmember-Elect Frank J. Navarro. <br /> <br />The Oath of Office was administered by City Clerk Padilla to Councilmember-Elect Jack R.
