SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING <br />May 12, 1994 <br />A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was <br />held on the above given date in the Council Chambers of City Hall, <br />located at 650 North La Cadena Drive, Colton, California, at <br />4:03 P. M., Mayor Gonzales presiding. <br />Notice of Special Meeting was given on May 11, 1994, in <br />compliance with Government Code Section 54956. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Councilmembers present were Bennett, Sandoval, Rios, Cisneros, <br />Cook, Beltran and Mayor Gonzales. Also present were City Attorney <br />Biggs, Interim City Manager Winter and City Clerk Ramos. <br />CLOSED SESSION: <br />City Attorney Biggs stated that since the posting of the agenda, <br />concerns have been expressed regarding procedures to be observed <br />and she advised that Council Members adjourn to Closed Session to <br />receive legal guidance and then proceed. She concluded that legal <br />advice was necessary because of the potential for litigation. <br />Mayor Gonzales read a memorandum from Chief Cabral asking for <br />public hearing. <br />At 4:05 P. M., Mayor Gonzales declared the meeting adjourned to <br />Closed Session. At 4:35 P. M., meeting reconvened with all members <br />present as heretofore. City Attorney Biggs announced that City <br />Council received information regarding potential litigation, <br />pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.5. <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br />At 4:35 P. M., motion made by Councilmember Cisneros, seconded by <br />Councilmember Rios, to adjourn. After roll call vote, motion <br />carried with Councilmember Sandoval and Mayor Gonzales voting "No." <br />Mayor Gonzales announced he would continue with informal hearing. <br />At 4:38 P.M., meeting stands adjourned. <br />HELEN A.
