City Coqnc:i 1 R( gg lar :1Wfcet n Minutes <br />August 15, 1995 <br />In accordance with notice duly and legally given, a Regular Meeting of the City <br />Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date at 6:30 p.m., in <br />the Council Chambers of the City Hall, Mayor Fulp presiding. <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />Mayor Fulp led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. <br />INVOCATION: <br />Chaplain - Glen C. Harris offered the invocation. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Councilmembers present were Sandoval, Bennett, Cook, Sanders, Beltran, Hutton <br />and Mayor Fulp., Also present were City Attorney Biggs, City Manager Martinez, <br />and City Clerk Ramos. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />Presentations, Awards, Proclamations <br />Councilmember Sandoval recognized Albertson's Food Center Management Employees <br />for their support of fire fighters on August 6 and 7, 1995. Mayor Fulp gave a <br />Mayor's Kudo to Albertson's Food Center. <br />Councilmember Sandoval recognized 5th, District Supervisor Jerry Eaves and his <br />Chief of Staff, Mr. Walter Pudinsky, who were in the audience. Supervisor Eaves <br />presented the City with a check from the County of San Bernardino for <br />approximately $2 million for electric services, fire services and storm drain <br />expenses. Supervisor Eaves stated a similar check will be sent on September 30, <br />1996. <br />AGENDA REVIEW: <br />City Attorney Biggs explained there is a case entitled Farwell vs the Town of <br />Los Gatos. The case involved council voting. City Attorney Biggs explained <br />abstention is deemed as voting with the majority. <br />Mayor Fulp stated Item No. 13 of the Consent Calendar should be placed under <br />Mayor and Council Items. City Manager Martinez agreed. <br />Motioned by Councilmember Beltran, seconded by Councilmember Hutton, to approve <br />Consent Calendar Items No. 1 through 12. <br />1 <br />AUG 1 5 1995 <br />
