11 <br />13i <br />14 <br />15 <br />16I <br />1711 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1629 <br />AN URGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1592 AND <br />SECTION 13.16.025A OF THE COLTON MUNICIPAL CODE, <br />ESTABLISHING SEWER CONNECTION FEES. <br />WHEREAS, there is a need for structures to be connected to the <br />sanitary sewer sytem immediately; and <br />such system; and <br />V;HEREAS, such connection will deplete the unused capacity of <br />WHEREAS, the fee now fixed for new connections is not sufficient <br />to replace such capacity; and <br />WHEREAS, the purpose of this ordinance is to provide that the <br />fees herein provided be paid for all new connections; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON ORDAINS: <br />Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1592 and Section 13.16.025A of the <br />Colton Municipal Code is amended to read as follows: <br />A new connection charge in the amount of one thousand five <br />hundred dollars per sewer connection shall be paid by <br />all new users of the City's Sanitary Sewer System and <br />Treatment Plant before any new physical connection to <br />such system is made. <br />This is an urgency ordinance, and pursuant to California <br />Government Code Section 36934 shall be passed upon its introduction. This <br />ordinance is for the immediate preservation of the public health and safety. <br />This ordinance is passed by at least a four-fifths vote of this Council, and goes <br />into effect immediately pursuant to California Government Code Section 36937. <br />ADOPTED this 21st day of September, 1982. <br />ATTEST: <br />HELEN A.
