1 RESOLUTION NO. R-103-21 <br />2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON ADOPTING A REPORT AND STATEMENT OF FEES <br />3 FOR THE CITY'S WEED ABATEMENT PROGRAM AND <br />IMPOSING A LIEN UPON PROPERTY FOR PAYMENT <br />4 THEREOF <br />5 WHEREAS: The Weed Abatement Program of the City of Colton has been carried out in <br />6 accordance with Municipal Code requirements; and <br />7 WHEREAS: The City Council held a hearing on the statement of expenses for abatement <br />8 of the nuisances and had read and considered the staff report and all objections or protests. <br />9 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES <br />10 <br />HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />11 <br />That 12 the staff report, and statement of fees attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated <br />13 herein by reference as submitted to the City Council, together with objections and <br />14 protests, is hereby confirmed and adopted as amended; and <br />15 That the fee for the abatement work done or caused to be done by the City shall be paid by <br />16 August 25, 2021; and <br />17 <br />That if said fees are not paid by August 25, 2021, they shall constitute a lien upon the real <br />18 <br />property against which the nuisance was abated and shall be collected either by a personal <br />19 <br />20 civil suit against the person creating, causing, or permitting the nuisance or by a special <br />21 assessment against the real property; and <br />22 That the City Clerk shall file a certified copy of this Resolution and report and statement <br />23 of expenses with the San Bernardino County Auditor, Assessor and Tax Collector, and <br />24 shall direct the auditor to enter the amounts of the charges contained in the report and <br />25 <br />statement of expenses against the real property described in the report and statement of <br />26 <br />expense; and <br />27 <br />28 <br />
