61 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />FOLLOWS: <br />ORDINANCE NO. 0-22--99 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON AMENDING <br />CHAPTER 5.32 OF THE COLTON MUNICIPAL CODE <br />RELATING TO PUBLIC DANCES ANDPUBLIC DANCEHALLS <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES ORDAIN AS <br />SECTIONI: Chapter 5.32 of the Colton Municipal Code is hereby amended in its <br />entirety to read as follows: <br />"DANCES - DANCE HALLS <br />Sections: <br />5.32.010 <br />Definitions. <br />5.32.020 <br />Permit --Required. <br />5.32.030 <br />Permit --Application. <br />5.32.040 <br />Permit--Granting—Renewing. <br />5.32.050 <br />Permit --Conditions. <br />5.32.060 <br />Permit --Denial. <br />5.32.070 <br />Permit --Suspension, Nonrenewal and Revocation. <br />5.32.080 <br />Permit --Appeals. <br />5.32.090 <br />Persons Employed as Dancing Partners --Unlawful. <br />5.32.100 <br />Violation--Penalty--Permit <br />rendered void. <br />5.32.010 Definitions. For purposes of this chapter certain words and phrases shall be <br />construed as set forth in this section. <br />A. "Dine and dance clubs" and "night clubs" shall mean all hotels, restaurants, <br />cafes, road houses, inns, taverns or any place open to the public, where bona fide meals are served, <br />and where the public may dance with or without charge. <br />B. "Nonprofit organization" means any lawfully organized nonprofit club, <br />society, association or other organization, organized or incorporated for benevolent, charitable, <br />dramatic or literary purposes, which has an established membership and holds meetings at regular <br />intervals for purposes other than to conduct a public dance. <br />C . "Notice" shall mean written notice, given by personal service upon the <br />addressee, or given by United States mail, postage prepaid, addressed to the person to be notified at <br />his or her last known address. Service of such notice shall be effective upon the completion of <br />personal service, or upon the placing of the same in the custody of the United States Postal Service. <br />D. "Public dance" or "dance club" or "public dance hall" shall mean any place <br />where dancing is regularly conducted on certain days as a business, whether for profit or not for <br />profit, and to which the public is admitted, either with or without charge, or at which the public is <br />allowed to participate in the dancing, either with or without charge. <br />RVPUB\MXM\521810 <br />E.
