R-124-86 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE ABANDONMENT <br />OF A PORTION OF "K" AND 5TH STREETS <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Colton <br />as follows: <br />SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Colton having <br />elected to proceed under the provisions of Section 8300 et seq. of <br />the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, and hav- <br />ing held a public hearing as provided therein, hereby finds from <br />all the evidences submitted that the portion of "K" and 5th Street: <br />and that certain 25' wide alley lying adjacent to and adjoining <br />the Northerly side of Block 144 and Block 145, as said Blocks and <br />Streets are shown on Map of the Town of Colton, Recorded in Map <br />Book 9 at Page 37, official records of San Bernardino County, more <br />particularly described as follows: <br />All that portion of "K" Street (80 feet wide) lying <br />Westerly of 6th Street and Easterly of 5th Street as <br />said streets are shown on said map of Town of Colton. <br />All that portion of 5th Street (80 feet wide) lying <br />Southerly of the 100' wide railroad property of <br />Southern Pacific Transportation Company and Northerly <br />of "K" Street 80 feet wide) as said reservation <br />and street are shown on said map of the Town of Colton. <br />All that portion of that certain 25 foot wide alley <br />lying adjacent to and adjoining the Northerly side <br />of Block 144 and Block 145 and lying Easterly of the <br />prolongation of the Westerly line of Lot 12 of Block <br />144 and Westerly of 6th Street (80 feet wide) as <br />said street, lot and blocks are shown on said map <br />of the Town of Colton. <br />is unnecessary for present or prospective public street purposes <br />and the public interest and convenience requires the closing of <br />said street. <br />SECTION 2.
