R-51-86 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />APPOINTING STEPHEN EDWARDS AS CITY MANAGER <br />WHEREAS, Stephen Edwards is the City Attorney of the City of Colton, <br />is a resident of the City of Colton, and is in all respects eligible and <br />qualified to hold the position of City Manager; and <br />WHEREAS, Stephen Edwards currently is acting as City Manager <br />pursuant to Resolution No. 4492 adopted by the Council July 17, 1984; and <br />WHEREAS, the position of City Manager is now vacant, and the Council <br />is considering applications for the position, and it is necessary to appoint <br />a person to the position of City Manager pending Council review of such <br />applications. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Colton finds and <br />resolves as follows: <br />The foregoing recitals are true and correct. Stephen Edwards is <br />appointed City Manager of the City of Colton. He shall continue to hold <br />the position of City Attorney also. It is anticipated that his appointment <br />as City Manager shall be brief. When his successor as City Manager is <br />appointed, Stephen Edwards shall continue to hold the position of City <br />Attorney. <br />No added compensation shall be paid by reason of the adoption of <br />this resolution. The current salary and benefits being paid or afforded <br />to Stephen Edwards as City Attorney shall continue without change. <br />ADOPTED: April 15, 1986 <br />ALBERT A.
