R-94-86 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />APPOINTING FRANK BENEST AS COLTON CITY MANAGER. <br />WHEREAS, by Resolution R-51-86 adopted April 15, 1986, the City <br />Council of the City of Colton appointed Stephen Edwards as City Manager pending <br />the process of selection of another person for that position; and <br />WHEREAS, the said selection process is now complete, and by that. <br />process, the Council has determined that Frank Benest should be the new City <br />Manager, and the Council wishes to implement the transition of the City Manager <br />position to Frank Benest, who will be available to undertake those duties July <br />7, 1986. <br />NOw, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Colton resolves as <br />follows: <br />Frank Benest is hired as City Manager effective July 7, 1986. The <br />salary is fixed at $3927 per month, "C" step. <br />The amount of bond is fixed at $10,000. <br />It is further resolved that effective on beforesaid date, the <br />appointment of Stephen Edwards as City Manager is terminated provided, however, <br />that he is designated as the person authorized to exercise the powers and duties <br />of City Manager in the event, of the inability of the designated City Manager <br />to exercise the same by reason of disability, absence, or the like. <br />The appointment of Stephen Edwards as City Attorney shall continue. <br />This resolution shall not effect his appointment as City Attorney. <br />DATED: June 17, 1986. <br />ALBERT A.
