R-7-89 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COI.TON, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER ANNEXATION NO. 10, 11 & 12 TO THE CITY OF COLTON LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 1 DECLARING THE WORK TO BE MORE THAN LOCAL OR ORDINARY PUBLIC BENEFIT; SPECIFYING THE EXTERIOR BOUNDARIES OF THE AREAS TO BE ANNEXED, AND TO BE ASSESSED THE COST AND EXPENSE THEREOF; DESIGNATING SAID AREAS AS A PORTION OF CITY OF COLTON LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 1; DETERMINING THAT THESE PROCEEDINGS SHALL BE TAKEN PURSUANT TO THE LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING ACT OF 1972; AND SETTING A TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS THERETO WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton, (this "City Council") has received a written request for annexation of Tracts #21298, 12199, 12201, 13455, 13456, 13599, and 12203, 12204, 13453, 13454, 13600 to the City of Colton's Landscape Maintenance District No. 1 pursuant to the Land- scaping and Lighting Act of 1972 (California Streets and Highways Code Section 22500 et. seq. "the Code) and this City Council has agreed to initiate proceedings to complete such annexation; and WHEREAS, this City Council wishes to order Annexation No. 10, 11 & 12 to the City of Colton Landscaping and Lighting Mainten District No. 1 pursuant to Article 2 of the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 of the Code and levy and collect annual assessments within the areas so annexed; and WHEREAS, the Engineer of Work has prepared and filed with the City Clerk a report containing the matters specified in Section 22567, et. sec., of the Code; and WHEREAS, this City Council has read, reviewed and approved the Engineer of Work Report as filed; and WHEREAS, the public interest and convenience require the maintenance servicing and operation of landscaping and appurtenant facilities within that area designated Annexation No. 10, 11 & 12 ,-e
