R-101-89 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, CALLING AND GIVING <br />NOTICE OF A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE <br />HELD ON NOVEMBER 7, 1989 AND REQUESTING THE <br />BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF SAN <br />BERNARDINO TO CONSOLIDATE SAID SPECIAL ELEC- <br />TION WITH THE COUNTY CONSOLIDATED ELECTION <br />TO BE HELD ON THAT DATE PURSUANT TO SECTION <br />23302 OF THE ELECTION CODE <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to authority provided by statute a <br />petition has been filed with the legislative body of the City of <br />Colton signed by more than eleven percent of the number of regis- <br />tered voters of the City to submit to the voters Ordinance No. <br />0-9-89 relating to rezoning of Assessors Parcel No. 164-252-10, <br />11, 12; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Clerk caused the records of registration <br />to be examined and ascertained that the petition is signed by the <br />requisite number of voters, and has so certified; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is authorized and directed by <br />statute to submit the ordinance to the voters; and <br />WHEREAS, it is desirable that the Special Municipal Elec- <br />tion be consolidated with the County Consolidated Election to be <br />held on November 7, 1989, and that within the City the precincts, <br />polling places and election officers of the two elections be the <br />same, and that the County Election Department of the County of San <br />Bernardino canvass the returns of the Special Municipal Election <br />and that the election be held in all respects as if there were <br />only one election; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Colton does <br />1 <br />
