R-6-90 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE; CI'T'Y COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF COUPON; CALIFORNIA; RF.QITESTING THAT AN <br />INVIKSTIGA'T'TON OF NORDIC DEVELOPMENT COMPANY <br />BE PERFORMED BY THE: CON'TRACTOR'S STA'T'E: <br />LICENSE BOAHD <br />WHEREAS; the City of Colton is one of the tritest growing <br />cities in the State of Calitornia having increased its <br />population in the past, tive years at a rate of tourt.een <br />percent; and <br />WHEREAS; the citizens of Colton, San Bernardino County and <br />all of Southern Calitornie deserve acceptable workmanship <br />within the new homes they purchase; and <br />WHEREAS; Nordic Development Company has two development. <br />projects in Colton which are tully or partially occupied; <br />and <br />WHEREAS; the city at Colton has received complaints trom <br />several at the residents who nccup Nordic homes; and <br />WHEREAS, as such complaints include concerns regarding <br />detective construction; poor workmanship; incompetent and <br />negligent customer service: and <br />WHEREAS; the city at Colton is expending excessive time and <br />resources in attempting to resolve these code and non -code <br />related complaints; and <br />WHKRKAS; the Department at Consumer Atfairs, Contractor's <br />State License Hoard has the duty and legal authority to <br />investigate and discipline licensed contractors for tailure <br />
