R-27-98 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />AUTHORIZING THE RE -PROGRAMMING OF $51,900 OF <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDS TO <br />THE ACTIVITIES "LEGAL AID SOCIETY OF SAN BERNARDINO, <br />INC., $5,000," "INLAND TEMPORARY HOMES, INC., -- <br />PLAYGROUND RESURFACING, $1,000," "ALLEY IMPROVEMENTS, <br />EAST END - "C", "D", AND "E," $27,000," AND "HISTORICAL <br />PRESERVATION -- COLTON MUSEUM, $18,900," FROM THE <br />COLTON CONTINGENCY ACCOUNT. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton has determined that <br />a surplus of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds exist from <br />prior year completed Community Development Block Grant projects; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton wishes to allocate <br />Community Development Block Grant funds to three new Community <br />Development Block Grant eligible projects and one current on-going CDBG <br />project that will principally benefit low and moderate income residents. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the <br />City of Colton approves and authorizes the re -programming of Community <br />Development Block Grant funds in the following manner: <br />1. Colton Contingency/Unprogrammed Funds (transfer from) $51,900 <br />2. Legal Aid Society of San Bernardino, Inc. (transfer to) $ 5,000 <br />3. Inland Temporary Homes, Inc. - Playground Resurfacing <br />(transfer to) $ 1,000 <br />4. Colton - Alley Improvements, East End -"C," "D," and "E" <br />(transfer to) $27,000 <br />5.
