R- 38-98 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA <br />DECALRING PERSONAL PROPERTY <br />SURPLUS AND AUTHORIZING ITS <br />DONATION <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />WHEREAS, the Crafton Hills Fire Technology Program operates a State Fire Marshal <br />Accredited Fire Academy; and <br />WHEREAS, the Academy provides both didactic and manipulative training for aspiring <br />firefighters; and <br />WHEREAS, the Academy utilizes fire engines donated by local fire departments to assist in <br />providing this manipulative training; and <br />WHEREAS, the Colton Fire Department has declared as surplus a 1971 fire engine with an <br />inoperative fire pump and in excess of 108,000 miles. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Colton as <br />follows: <br />The City Councils determines that said property is surplus and that it serves the interest of the <br />City to be donated to the Crafton Hills College Fire Technology Program. <br />The City Manager is hereby authorized to transfer the title in said vehicle to Crafton Hills <br />College. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 19th Day of May, 1998. <br />f <br />ATTEST: Yr 'I .
