R-78-98 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING THE BOARD OF <br />SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO TO <br />CONSOLIDATE A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL RECALL ELECTION TO <br />BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 3, 1998, WITH THE CONSOLIDATED <br />ELECTION TO BE HELD ON THE SAME DATE PURSUANT TO <br />SECTION 10403 OF THE ELECTIONS CODE. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton called <br />a Special Municipal Recall Election to be held on November 3, <br />1998, for the purposed of the recall of James Grimsby, <br />ilmember; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is submitting to the voters <br />the questions related to recall; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is desirable that the Special Municipal <br />all Election be consolidated with the Consolidated <br />Election to be held on the same date and that within the city <br />the precincts, polling places and election officers of the <br />two elections be the same, and that the county election <br />department of the County of San Bernardino canvass the <br />returns of the Special Municipal Recall Election and the <br />election be held in all respects as if there were only one <br />election; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. That pursuant to Section 10403 of the <br />Elections Code, the Board of Supervisors of the County of San <br />Bernardino is hereby requested to consent and agree to the <br />1 <br />
