R-12-00 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />PRIORITIZING THE TYPES OF PROJECTS TO BE FUNDED BY <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS FOR THE FISCAL <br />YEAR 2000-2001. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton elected to enter into a Cooperation <br />Agreement with the County of San Bernardino in order to receive Community Development <br />Block Grant (CDBG) funds; and, <br />WHEREAS, as a Cooperating City, the City of Colton anticipates receiving $368,000 in <br />Community Development Block Grant funds for Fiscal Year 2000-2001; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City must inform the County as to which eligible projects will be funded <br />with CDBG funds. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Colton <br />prioritizes and allocates CDBG funds for the following projects for Fiscal Year 2000-2001: <br />1. <br />"Emergency Shelter Services for Homeless Families" (#26100) <br />$ <br />1,763 <br />2. <br />"Alzheimer's Disease Support & Education Services" (#26137) <br />$ <br />1,000 <br />3. <br />"Minor Home Repair Program for Seniors" (#26140) <br />$ <br />10,000 <br />4. <br />"Shoppin' 4 Seniors Program" (#26143) <br />$ <br />1,000 <br />5. <br />"Congregate & Home Delivered Meals for Elderly and Disabled <br />Persons" (#26174) <br />$ <br />10,000 <br />6. <br />"Domestic Violence Shelter Services" (#26195) <br />$ <br />1,867 <br />7. <br />"Legal Services to Economically Disadvantaged Persons" (#26197) <br />$ <br />1,000 <br />8. <br />"Expansion of Home Delivered Meals for Homebound Seniors" (#26225) $ <br />3,333 <br />9. <br />"Youth Mentoring, Skill Training and Character Development <br />Program" (#26271) <br />$ <br />5,000 <br />10. <br />"Code Enforcement Program" (#26272) <br />$140,000 <br />11. <br />"Street Improvements -Northeast Colton Missing Links: Shasta, Scenic, <br />and Sperry Drives; Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Virginia, Florence, and Western <br />Avenues (#26273) <br />$169,037 <br />12. <br />"Adult and Family Literacy Education Program" (#26274) <br />$ <br />24,000 <br />TOTAL: <br />$368,000 <br />NOTE: PROJECTS IN BOLDFACE TYPE ARE "PUBLIC SERVICE PROJECTS" <br />PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 7'h day of March, 2000. <br />DEIRDRE H.
