R-27-22 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A TRACTOR <br />DRAWN AERIAL FIRE TRUCK AND INCREASE TO <br />APPROPRIATIONS IN THE AMOUNT OF $113,957 <br />WHEREAS: The Budget for the City of Colton for the Fiscal Year commencing July 1, <br />2021 and ending June 30, 2022 was approved by the City Council and adopted by Resolution; and <br />WHEREAS: Resolution R-124-21 ratified the acceptance of a $1,500,000 grant from the <br />State of California for the purchase of a tractor drawn aerial fire truck; and <br />WHEREAS: Resolution R-124-21 increased FY2021-22 revenues by $1,500,000 in <br />Account Number 225-5879-000 to accept the grant and increased FY2021-22 appropriations in <br />Account Number 225-6090-6091-4910-0000-000 by $1,500,000 to purchase a tractor drawn <br />aerial fire truck; and <br />WHEREAS: The re -allocation of appropriations between department activities may be <br />made by the City Manager. Amendments (increases/decreases) to the budget shall be by approval <br />and Resolution of the City Council.; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES <br />HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Authorize the City Manager to waive the formal bidding process in <br />accordance with Colton Municipal Code C3.08.140(c) and authorize the City to piggyback <br />through the Houston -Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) for the purchase of a new 2023 <br />Kovatch Motor Equipment (KME) Tractor Drawn Aerial with equipment for an amount <br />
