R-69-22 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING A BUDGET AMENDMENT <br />FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING JULY 1, 2021 AND <br />ENDING JUNE 30, 2022 RELATING TO THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />PROFESIONAL SERVICES <br />WHEREAS, the Budget and Fiscal Year commencing July 1, 2021 and June 30, 2022 was <br />approved and adopted by Resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, the approved budget is in accordance with all applicable ordinances of the City and <br />applicable statues of the State; and <br />WHEREAS, the re -allocation of appropriations between department activities may be made by <br />the City Manager. Amendments (increases/decreases) to the budget shall be by approval and <br />Resolution of the City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council approved an amended agreement with Best Best & Krieger LLP on <br />October 7, 2020; and <br />WHEREAS, the City experienced several substantial expenditures related to the number of <br />litigation matters and cases handled by the City Attorney's office. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES HEREBY <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Amend the adopted FY2021-22 budget to increase appropriations in General Fund <br />City Attorney Professional Services Account Number 100-6050-6050-2350-0000-000 by <br />$400,000 for increased litigation costs. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 71 day of June 022. <br />ATTEST: <br />L�7 <br />AROLINA R.
