1 RESOLUTION NO. R-120-22 <br /> 2 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br /> 3 AMENDING THE FY2022-23 BUDGET FOR PURPOSES OF FUNDING <br /> 4 BUILDING & SAFETY SUPPORT SERVICES <br /> 5 WHEREAS, on December 3, 2019, the City of Colton entered into a Professional Services <br /> 6 Agreement (PSA) with Willdan Engineering to provide. support services to the Building & Safety <br /> Division for an annual fee of $120,000, including building plan review, inspection and permit <br /> 7 technician support services, as needed; and <br /> 8 WHEREAS, as permitted by Section 3.1.2 of the 2019 Willdan PSA, the term of the PSA has <br /> 9 been extended twice, with a final expiration date of December 19, 2022, unless extended further by City <br /> Council; and <br /> 10 <br /> 11 WHEREAS, due to unforeseen increases in the volume of plan review services, extended Permit <br /> Technician and Building Inspector vacancies, and support requests from Code Compliance, additional <br /> 12 professional services funds are required to provide essential Building services until the expiration date of <br /> the amended PSA(January 31, 2023); and <br /> 13 <br /> 14 WHEREAS, the cumulative amount of the amended contract budget (3 year term) is $552,250 <br /> (120,000 x 3 + 85,000+22,250 + 55,000); and <br /> 15 <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Colton does <br /> 16 hereby find, determine and declare as follows: <br /> 17 <br /> SECTION 1. The FY2022-23 budget is hereby amended to increase appropriations in General <br /> 18 Fund Building Division Professional Services Expenditure Account No. 100-6300-6302-2350-000-0000 <br /> 19 in the amount of$55,000.00. <br /> 20 PASSED,APPROVED,AND ADOPTED THIS 6TH DAY OF DEC R, 2022. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 <br /> 23 ' <br /> 24 .
