�II <br /> 1 ' RESOLUTION NO, 2531 <br /> 2 RESOLUTION ADOPTING MAP AND REPORT OF <br /> ROUTES FOR SELECT SYSTEM AND REQUESTING <br /> 3 THAT SUCH SYSTEM BE APPROVED BY THE <br /> CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY COMMISSION, <br /> 4 <br /> WHEREAS, Chapter 1852 of the Statutes of 1963 provides for the <br /> 5j <br /> establishment of a select system of City Streets and County Roads for the <br /> 61 <br /> purpose of expending thereon funds apportioned to the cities and counties from <br /> 7 <br /> the State highway fund and the expenditure of matching funds from other <br /> 8 <br /> sources; and <br /> 9 <br /> WHEREAS, Section 186. 3 of the Streets and Highways Code, as adopted <br /> 10 <br /> by said Chapter 1852, provides for the submission by each city and county by <br /> 11 <br /> October 1, 1964, a map and report of select system routes to the California <br /> 12 <br /> Highway Commission for review and approval; and <br /> 13 <br /> WHEREAS* there has been presented to this Council for review a map <br /> 14 <br /> and report prepared by the City Engineer to establish a select system for the <br /> 15 <br /> City of Colton, <br /> 16, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCLL OF THE <br /> 17 CITY OF COLTON AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 18 <br /> 1. That certain map, entitled "MAP OF SELECT SYSTEM OF CITY <br /> 19 <br /> STREETS, CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA„ " dated January 25, 1965 and <br /> 20 <br /> that certain report, entitled "SELECT SYSTEM REPORT - City of Colton, " <br /> 21 <br /> dated January 25, 1965, copies of which are on file in the offices of the City <br /> 22 <br /> clerk and City Engineer and incorporated herein as if set out in full herein, <br /> 23 <br /> are hereby approved by this Council as the select system of streets for the <br /> 24 <br /> City of Colton, under Section 186,.3 of the Streets and Highways Code„ <br /> 25 <br /> 2. The California Highway Commission is hereby requested to approve <br /> 26 <br /> the select system as shown on the above mentioned map and described in the <br /> 27 <br /> above mentioned report subject to such modifications as the Commission finds <br /> 28 <br /> necessary. <br /> 29 <br /> 3. The City Engineer is hereby directed to transmit certified copies of <br /> 30 <br /> this resolution with maps and reports to the District Engineer of the Division <br /> 31 <br /> of Highways, for transmittal to the California Highway Commission, <br /> 32 <br />
