1 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2639 <br /> 2 <br /> RESOLUTION ORDERING THE ABANDONMENT OF <br /> 3 A PORTION OF ACACIA STREET IN THE <br /> CITY OF COLTON. <br /> 4 <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES ORDAIN AND <br /> 5 <br /> RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 6 <br /> SECTION ONE. The City Council of the City of Colton <br /> 7 <br /> having elected to proceed under the provisions of Sections <br /> 8 <br /> 8300 - 8331 of the Streets and Highway Code of the State of <br /> 9 ' <br /> California, and having held a public hearing as provided <br /> 10 <br /> therein, hereby finds from all the evidence submitted that the <br /> 11 <br /> portion of Acacia Street in the City of Colton bounded by the <br /> 12 <br /> following described lines, to wits <br /> 13 <br /> Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 31 <br /> 14 of Colton orange Villa Tract, as per plat <br /> recorded in Book 18 of maps, Page 26, records <br /> 15 of San Bernardino County, thence southerly <br /> along an extension of the westerly line of <br /> 16 said Lot 31 to the South line of Acacia Street <br /> as it now exists, thence easterly to the <br /> 17 westerly line of the Atchison, Topeka and <br /> 18 Santa Fe Railroad right-of-way, thence in a <br /> northerly direction along the westerly line <br /> of said right-of-gray to the southeast corner <br /> 19 of Lot 25 of said Tract, thence westerly to <br /> 20 the point of beginning ("subject property") . <br /> 21 is unnecessary for present or prospective public street purposes <br /> 22 and that the public interest and convenience requires the closing <br /> 23 of said portion of said Street. <br /> 24 SECTION TWO. The City Council of the City of Colton hereby <br /> 25 orders the vacation of that portion of Acacia Street herein. <br /> 26 before described, subject to reservations and exceptions as <br /> 27 follows: <br /> 28 That the public convenience and necessity require the <br /> 29 reservation of easements and rights of way for structures <br /> 30 enumerated in Section 8331 of the Streets and Highways Code <br /> 31 more particularly described as the permanent easement at any <br /> 32 time, or from time to time to construct or replace in, upon, <br />
