1 RESOLUTION NO. 2639 2 RESOLUTION ORDERING THE ABANDONMENT OF 3 A PORTION OF ACACIA STREET IN THE CITY OF COLTON. 4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES ORDAIN AND 5 RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: 6 SECTION ONE. The City Council of the City of Colton 7 having elected to proceed under the provisions of Sections 8 8300 - 8331 of the Streets and Highway Code of the State of 9 ' California, and having held a public hearing as provided 10 therein, hereby finds from all the evidence submitted that the 11 portion of Acacia Street in the City of Colton bounded by the 12 following described lines, to wits 13 Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 31 14 of Colton orange Villa Tract, as per plat recorded in Book 18 of maps, Page 26, records 15 of San Bernardino County, thence southerly along an extension of the westerly line of 16 said Lot 31 to the South line of Acacia Street as it now exists, thence easterly to the 17 westerly line of the Atchison, Topeka and 18 Santa Fe Railroad right-of-way, thence in a northerly direction along the westerly line of said right-of-gray to the southeast corner 19 of Lot 25 of said Tract, thence westerly to 20 the point of beginning ("subject property") . 21 is unnecessary for present or prospective public street purposes 22 and that the public interest and convenience requires the closing 23 of said portion of said Street. 24 SECTION TWO. The City Council of the City of Colton hereby 25 orders the vacation of that portion of Acacia Street herein. 26 before described, subject to reservations and exceptions as 27 follows: 28 That the public convenience and necessity require the 29 reservation of easements and rights of way for structures 30 enumerated in Section 8331 of the Streets and Highways Code 31 more particularly described as the permanent easement at any 32 time, or from time to time to construct or replace in, upon,
