R-03-25 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2024-25 BUDGET FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS STREET MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS EXPENDITURES BY $90,000 WHEREAS, the City of Colton has a responsibility to maintain its streets, including the procurement and installation of street sweeping signs to ensure safety and compliance with parking restrictions; and, WHEREAS, the City Council previously approved an amendment to the street sweeping program, requiring the installation of new street sweeping signs to indicate days and hours of sweeping operations, requiring additional funding; and, WHEREAS, the existing appropriation in the Operating Supplies and Equipment Account is insufficient to meet the increased demand for street sweeping signs; and, WHEREAS, an additional appropriation of $90,000 is required to continue the purchase of necessary street sweeping signs to complete the comprehensive installation and support ongoing maintenance efforts. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Fiscal Year 2024-25 budget is hereby amended to increase appropriations from General Fund reserve balance in General Fund Streets Operating Supplies and Equipment Account Number 100-6150-6160-2301- 0000-000 by $90,000 to support the procurement of street sweeping signs.
