R-02-25 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY <br />OF SAN BERNARDINO AND AMEND THE FY 2024-2025 BUDGET TO ACCEPT <br />$345,580 IN GRANT FUNDING FOR THE HOMELESS HOUSING, ASSISTANCE <br />AND PREVENTION PROGRAM, ROUND 4 <br />WHEREAS, The San Bernardino City and County Continuum of Care (SBC CoC) has been <br />allocated funds by the State of California Homeless Coordinating and Financing Council in the <br />Business, Consumer and Housing Agency, under the Homeless Housing, Assistance and <br />Prevention Program Round 4 (HHAP-4). HHAP is authorized by Assembly Bill (AB) 140, <br />which was signed into law by Governor Gavin Newsom on July 19, 2021. HHAP makes <br />available grant allocations to cities, counties, and continuums of care with flexible funding to <br />prevent and end homelessness in their regions; and <br />WHEREAS, the Community Services Department applied for HHAP-Round 4 funding in <br />Spring 2024 and was successful in securing $345,580 in funding; and <br />WHEREAS, the funding will be received in quarterly disbursements based on performance <br />under the terms of the Contract until the amount total amount is expended or June 30, 2027. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Colton does hereby resolve as follows: <br />Section 1: The staff report accompanying this resolution is found to be true, adopted as <br />findings, and incorporated into this resolution. <br />Section 2: To amend the FY 20/21 budget to increase revenue in Grants Fund Revenue <br />Account Number 225-5896-021 in the amount of $400,988.80 and increase expenditure <br />appropriations in the amounts below: <br />225-6200-6229-1010-025 Salaries $100,000 <br />225-6200-6229-1100-025 Salary Related Benefits $25,580 <br />225-6200-6229-2400-025 Special Department Expense $220,000 <br />Section 3: The City Manager is hereby authorized to sign the applicable documents on <br />behalf of the City to execute this agreement. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 15TH DAY Off' A$'RIL 2025. <br />Mayor <br />0 <br />
