DIRECTOR / CITY ENGINEER <br />SUBJECT: APPROVE AND ADOPT A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE FISCAL <br />YEAR 2006/2007 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM BUDGET IN <br />THE AMOUNT OF $33,610.35 FOR PHASE IV, PD WAITING AREA. <br />DATE: DECEMBER 11, 2006 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Various phases of the City Hall Remodel Project were funded and amended to the Capital <br />Improvement Program (CIP) by Council action on March 7, 2006. These phases included: PD <br />Gym (Phase II), Teller Area (Phase III), PD Waiting Area (Phase IV), Accounting Area (Phase V), <br />East Entrance (Phase VI), City Manager's Area (Phase VII), City Clerk's Area (Phase VIII) and <br />Roofing (Phase IX). At this time Phases I, II, III, V, are completed and Phases VI, VII and VIII will <br />be completed by the end of this calendar year. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />During fiscal year 2005/2006 the CIP was amended to include the Impound Yard Phase I Project <br />and Impound Phase II Project. These projects were funded by asset seizure and VITEP funds. <br />Both projects were accepted as completed projects by Council action on June 6, 2006. Some of <br />the savings from the construction phase of these projects was since used to purchase camera <br />equipment. At this time there is a remaining savings in the amount of $33,610.35 in VITEP funds <br />and $8413.26 in asses seizure funds. Staff requests these savings be reallocated to supplement <br />the construction of the City Hall Remodel Project (PD Waiting Area). <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />This action will not result in a negative impact to general fund nor the VITEP fund. In 2006, a <br />decrease of $116,389.65 was made to the VITEP fund. The remaining available from the <br />$150,000 originally allocated for the Impound Yard Phase I and II is $33,610.35. These funds are <br />no longer required for the Impound Yard Phase I or II Projects. Staff requests these available <br />funds be made available in account 450-0620-6999-3890 for the PD Waiting Area, City Hall Phase <br />IV Project. <br />ENVIRONMENT AL IMPACT: <br />Not Applicable. <br />CONFLICT OF INTEREST: <br />None. <br />7/10/03 City Clerk's Office Cb <br />
