CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF April 3, ZUU1 <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL <br />FROM: Jeannette Olko, Electric Utility General Manager <br />SUBJECT: Request Recruitment and Ratification of Employee Appointment to <br />the Position of Power Line Helper <br />DATE: April 3, 2007 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Electric Utility has one vacant Power Line Helper position due to a recent promotion and <br />wishes to fill the current vacancy and establish an eligibility list to fill future vacancies as they <br />occur. The salary range for this position is $3,731-$4,534 / Mo. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />The Electric Utility has the ability to train and educate its Power Line Helpers and to advance the <br />Helper into the Apprenticeship Program.
