1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 ITEM #3 ORDINANCE NO. 0-15-07 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON TO AMEND TITLE 18 OF THE COLTON MUNICIPAL CODE TO CLARIFY AND UPDATE EXISTING CODE SECTIONS RELATING TO: FRONT SETBACK REQUIREMENTS FOR PARKING FACILITIES; PARKING REQUIREMENTS FOR WAREHOUSE, STORAGE AND MINIWAREHOUSE BUILDINGS; SIDE AND REAR SETBACK REQUIREMENTS FOR PROPERTIES LOCATED IN COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL ZONES; THE PROCEDURE FOR APPROVAL OF TELECOMMUNICATION AND ANTENNA TOWERS; AND EXPIRATION, REVOCATION AND APPEALS OF LAND USE APPLICATIONS WHEREAS, on June 26, 2007 the Planning Commission of the City of Colton ("Planning Commission") conducted a duly noticed public hearing and recommended the City Council of the City of Colton ("City Council") amend Chapters 18.12, 18.14, 18.18, 18.24, 18.26, 18.28, 18.39, and 18.58 of Title 18 of the Colton Municipal Code to clarify and update existing code sections ("Zone Text Amendment"); WHEREAS, the Planning Commission based its recommendation to adopt the Zone Text Amendment on the findings set forth below and a finding that adoption of the Zone Text Amendment is exempt from compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act; and WHEREAS, on August 21, 2007, the City Council held a duly noticed public hearing at which all persons wishing to testify in connection with the Zone Text Amendment were heard and the Zone Text Amendment was comprehensively reviewed; and WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to clarify and update existing code sections from time -to -time to make them easier to understand and consistent with State law, and the City of Colton General Plan; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Council hereby adopts the recitals and findings set forth above and in the agenda report prepared in connection with this Ordinance. RVPUBWSHANE1734082.3 - 1 -
