CITY OF COLTON ITEM #2 <br />COUNCIL/REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY/COLTON UTILITY AUTHORITY <br />SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES <br />October 27, 2009 <br />A Special Meeting of the City Council/Redevelopment Agency/Colton Utility Authority of the <br />City of Colton was held at 5:01 p.m., on the above -given date at the Summit Career College, <br />located at 851 S. Cooley Dr., Colton, CA 92324 with Mayor Chastain presiding. Notice of <br />Special Meeting was given on October 21, 2009, in compliance with Government Code Section <br />54956. <br />P OTT, CA T.T. <br />Council Members present were, Perez, Bennett, Yzaguirre, Toro, De La Rosa, Mayor Pro <br />Tempore Oliva and Mayor Chastain. Also present were Interim City Manager Miller, Interim <br />Deputy City Manager Smith and City Clerk Gomez. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT: <br />The following citizens addressed the council: None. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />POSSIBLE CONFLICT OF INTEREST DISCLOSURES FOR THE COUNCIL MEETING OF <br />OCTOBER 27, 2009. <br />Mayor Chastain asked the members present if there were any agenda items that were a conflict of <br />interest pursuant to CMC Section 2.04.030. None disclosed. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />Said Special Meeting shall be for the purpose of studying and or taking action on the following <br />matters: <br />Mayor Chastain announced that the City Council would meet in Closed Session to discuss Item <br />A below, and introduced Dr. Mathis who provided a brief overview of the City Manager <br />interview process. <br />CLOSED SESSION: <br />A. PUBLIC EMPLOYEE APPOINTMENT <br />Pursuant to Government Code section 54957 <br />Title: City Manager <br />Mayor Chastain adjourned the meeting to Closed Session at 5:02 p.m. and at 9:13 p.m.; the <br />meeting reconvened with all members present as heretofore. <br />Mayor Chastain reported that the Council did meet and did confer in Closed Session on Item A <br />with no reportable action. <br />2009 OCT 27 SPC CC/RDA/CUA MEETfNG - I - <br />
