ACEVEDO, Finance Director <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bid for 15 KV URD Primary Cable Date: October 15, 1991 <br />to Cablec in the Amount of $14,309.20 <br />BACKGROUND <br />Various sizes of cable are ordered into Electric Stores during the year <br />based on requirements projected by the City's Electrical Engineer. <br />These estimates are based on plans received for new development and the <br />City's maintenance requirements. <br />DISCUSSION <br />On September 19, 1991, General Services advertised for sealed bids for <br />one of these requirements. Bid opening was held at 2:30 p.m., October <br />3, 1991, in the General Services office. <br />Six bids were received and evaluated. A Bid Analysis is attached for <br />your review showing price and delivery quoted by each vendor. The recom- <br />mended vendor's price is underlined. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends bid award for 15 KV URD Primary Cable to Cablec in the <br />amount of $14,309.20. <br />Report Prepared by: Mary J.
