DREWS <br />Electric Utility Director <br />SUBJECT: Award of Contract for New Alarm System for the Electric Department Buildings, Substations, <br />and Property to Pacific Alarm Company in the amount of $7,268.00. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Electric department budgeted to install an intrusion alarm system in its electric building, and in the main <br />substation building. Installation to include perimeter alarming to the adjoining property area, and at the Century <br />substation, located in the Cooley Ranch area. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />Request for proposals were received by General Services until 5:00 P.M. on October 8, 1992, in the Electric <br />Department conference room. Three Proposals were received on this requirement and were evaluated by staff <br />from the Electric Department and General Services. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that bid award be made to Pacific Alarm System, the low bidder, in the amount of <br />$7,268.00. <br />Report prepared by Robert Bracken, Substation Superintendent. <br />City Manager Concurrence <br />Paces 1 of 1 <br />Item No. 3 <br />
