RAMOS, CMC <br />City Clerk <br />SUBJECT: Demolition Cost Report and Assessments for <br />Backaround: <br />On June 15, 1993, the City Council set a public hearing <br />Demolition Cost Report of the Building Official, for demc <br />within the City of Colton-, commonly known as; 801 North IR <br />9455 Fernando. <br />Discussion: <br />DATE: June 30, 1993 <br />Expenses <br />)y July 6, 1993, to consider the <br />ion of certain unsound structures <br />icho, 1023 North Mt. Vernon and <br />This public hearing is being held pursuant to Chapter 16, of the Uniform Housing Code, 1988 <br />Edition, Recovery of Cost of Repair or Demolition. All notice uirements have been met and <br />the Council can proceed to hear any objections from the property owners on the total cost of <br />demolition for each parcel. Following the close of the public hearing, the City Council shall act <br />on the following: 1. Order that the assessment charge shall be a personal obligation or a special <br />assessment against the property. 2. Determine, at its discretion, whether the assessments in <br />amounts of $500.00 or more shall be payable in not to exceed five equal annual installments. <br />3. Confirm or reject the Demolition Cost Report of the Building Official. <br />The Council's actions and determinations shall be in the , <br />resolution. Staff has prepared a resolution for Council's c <br />demolition cost to be a special assessment against the property <br />assessment to be paid over five equal annual installments with <br />per annum.
