CLARKE, INTERIM WATER & WASTEWATER DIRECTOR <br />SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF LANDSCAPE CONTRACTOR FOR THE WATWOOD <br />STREET GENERATOR SITE IMPROVEMENTS, AND THE <br />EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $18,079.00 <br />DATE: AUGUST 15, 1996 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On April 2, 1996 Council approved the concept for landscaping the Watwood Street <br />Generator area, and authorized staff to prepare new site plans. The cost for the site <br />improvements were to be returned to Council for final consideration and approval. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />Staff received three quotes for the site improvements, as follows: <br />1. Tropical Plaza Nursery, Inc. <br />2. RP Landscape & Irrigation <br />3. Azteca Landscape <br />$18,079.00 <br />$19,662.28 <br />$25,715.00 <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />Funding for the Watwood Street Generator Site Improvements are budgeted in the <br />Water Division's Building and Grounds Account No. 21-600-25. <br />Thomas K.
