Vega, Finance Director <br />Subject: Reserve Analysis Policy Update <br />Date: August 14, 1996 <br />On July 2 and July 16, 1996, a Reserve Analysis Policy was brought to the City Council for <br />discussion. On August 6, 1996, Council gave staff direction to go forward with creating a <br />Reserve Analysis Policy for the City. On August 1, 1996, the City Manager, Assistant City <br />Manager, Acting Finance Director, Personnel Director, Electric Utility Director and City <br />Treasurer met to discuss this matter. Staff has began the analysis necessary to create the <br />policy and has also requested information from the League of California Cities to assist in the <br />preparation of this policy.
