CROWE, CAZ�Al A <br />SUBJECT: CONTRACT AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO FOR ANIMAL <br />SHELTER SERVICES <br />I DATE: AUGUST 14,1996 <br />The City of Colton does not operate its own facility or animal shelter to handle the impounding or <br />disposal of animals. The City of Colton has operated through an agreement with the City of San <br />Bernardino to provide those services. This contract expired June 30, 1996. <br />DISCUSS ION/ANALYSIS, <br />The City of Colton's operating contract with the City of San Bernardino for animal shelter services <br />required renewal effective July 1, 1996. <br />ALTERNATIVES: <br />Other than operating and staffing its own animal shelter, the City of Colton is best served through <br />contracting animal shelter facilities. <br />The required funds, $28,000, were approved in the 1996/1997 annual budget, there are no <br />changes this fiscal year. <br />Total $28,000 General fund, Police 01-2005-41 <br />(approved in the 199611997 annual budget) <br />Patrick G.
