AGENDA REPORT <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />For City Council Meeting of <br />June 4, 1996 <br />May 18, 1996 <br />TO: MAYOR FULP, CITY COUNCIL AND CITY MANAGER <br />FROM: Julie Hayward Biggs, City Attorney <br />SUBJECT: Policy Resolution/Grading in Hillside Areas <br />At the request of Mayor Fulp, I have prepared the attached resolution which <br />establishes a policy for the City of Colton with regard to grading permits in the Reche Canyon <br />and La Loma Hills areas of the City. These areas are particularly sensitive to grading changes <br />due to the slopes in the area, and there have been some recent grading permits that have raised <br />serious concerns among residents of the area. <br />The resolution merely mandates what our municipal code now permits -- the <br />Design Review Committee will now be required to refer grading permit issues to the Planning <br />Commission for projects in the hillside areas of Reche Canyon and La Loma Hills. <br />Conc ce: <br />Nabar Enrique Martinez, ti Manager <br />Item # 18 <br />
