Traditionally our
fundraising event has taken place the month of August. This year however, we have chosen
October 5th and 6th. As in year's past, we will be having live entertainment, games, crafts, food,
soft drinks and beer. We are requesting permission to hold this event , in addition to the
following:
1. Additional street lighting;
2. Closing off the alley between "K" and "L" Streets;
3. Closing of "K" Street, east of 7th St. to cul-de-sac, one block only;
4. To place portable toilets and a refrigerated truck (for food,
beer and ice) on the cul-de-sac;
5. The use of the City's portable stage;
6. The use of 3 large trash bins
We expect approximately 1000 people to attend this event and as always, we will provide
security guards for the duration of the fiesta. The festivities will begin Saturday, Oct. 5th from
3:00pm to 12:00 mid -night and Sunday, Oct. 6th from 1:00pm to 10:00pm.
As always, the Colton Police Department is welcome to participate with handouts etc., for the
youngsters, along with explorer or volunteer assistance if possible. With the help of the City of
Colton, we look forward to this fiesta with excitement and safety for the community.
Attached you will find a map of the designated areas for the fiesta. Please forward your response
to our contact person, Rosemarie Duran, our church secretary, or call should you have any
questions.
Sincerely,
SAN SALVADOR CHURCH
Father Pierre Deglaire
ITEM 9
