CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For the Council Meeting of August 19, 1997 <br />To: Honorable Mayor & City Council <br />Approval: Len Wood, Interim City Manager <br />From: Parks and Recreation Commission <br />Subject: Ratification of the Naming of the Aquatic Facility <br />to the Spragins Aquatic Facility <br />Date: July 21, 1997 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />At the regular meeting of the Parks and Recreation Commission July 16, 1997, the <br />Commission heard a request to dedicate and name the aquatic facility in name of the <br />Spragins Family. After the presentation by Mrs. Tinkey Lord, by way of a unanimous <br />vote, the Commission approved the naming of the aquatic facility as the Spragins <br />Aquatic Facility. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Commission recommends that Council ratify the action of the Parks and Recreation <br />Commission and name the aquatic facility the Spragins Aquatic Facility <br />Attachments: Background Material <br />Item No. 17 <br />
