CITY OF COLTON
MEMORANDUM
Office of the Mayor and Council
Date: November 26, 1997
To: The Honorable Mayor and Councilmembers
From: Mayor Pro Tem Betty L. Cook
Subject: League of California Cities Policy Committees
COUNCIL MEETING OF DECEMBER 2,1997
The Administrative Services Committee is one of eight Policy Committees of the League of
California Cities. Committee members provide statewide representation and leadership to city
officials at all levels. The Employee Relations Policy Committee brings forward important
issues and/or proposed legislation important to local government. The Committees meet various
times throughout the year, including the Annual League Conference.
The dedicated participation and support of a Policy Committee Member is imperative to the
proper function of the League of California Cities. Being an active representative for the City of
Colton requires a strong commitment, of which I am fully prepared to do. Accordingly, I ask
for the Council's consensus and support as I continue to participate as a Member on the
following Committees for the League of California Cities:
• Administrative Service Policy Committee
• Inland Empire Division - Employee Relations Policy Committee
BLC: adf
word\ memo\ employee relations
