CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF FEBRUARY 4, 1997 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor & City Council <br />APPROVAL: Malik Dantala Freeman, City Manager <br />FROM: Gracie Fernandez Harmon, Personnel Director <br />SUBJECT: Claim Against the City Submitted by Midland Risk Insurance as <br />Subrogee for Narong Tinchinda - Recommend Denial <br />DATE: January 27,1997 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />In accordance with the procedures adopted to insure proper and efficient handling of Liability <br />Claims against the City of Colton, the attached report has been received from the City's Liability <br />Claims Administrator. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />Claimant has filed a claim against the City. Evaluation of the claim reflects that this case would be <br />highly questionable or no liability on the part of the City of Colton. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />Not applicable. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the above -listed claim be denied to commence the Statute of Limitations. <br />GFH:amv <br />Item No. 3 <br />
