CLARKE, UTILITY DIRECTOR -V, - <br />SUBJECT: AWARD OF CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE RECHE CANYON <br />WATER LINE RELOCATION PROJECT <br />DATE: i JULY 2, 1997 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The County of San Bernardino is proceeding with the widening of Reche Canyon Road <br />located within the County portion. In order to widen Reche Canyon Road, the City was <br />required to relocate its water line. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />On June 30, 1997, staff received a bid for the Reche Canyon Water Line Relocation <br />project. Only one bid was received in the amount of $69,267.10 from EL -CO, <br />Contractors, Inc. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />The FY96-97 Water Utility Budget included funds for water line projects. Sufficient <br />funds were carried over for this project and are available in Account No. 521-8100- <br />81 890. (L�2, <br />Tho as <br />4K.
