HUTTON, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR <br />�$ <br />SUBJECT: REQUEST AUTHORIZATION TO PROCEED TO BID THE <br />NORTH LA CADENA SIGNAL INTERCONNECT PROJECT <br />DATE: <br />BACKGROUND: <br />MAY 12,1997 <br />The North La Cadena Signal Interconnect Project, State and Federal Funds have been <br />approved and authorized by Caltrans by Program Supplement agreement identified as <br />STPLING--5065 (003), covering preliminary engineering, project administration 1 <br />construction engineering and construction. This is a 100% reimbursable project. The <br />total estimated project cost is $358,000. <br />SUMMARY: <br />The plans and specifications are complete. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />This is a City F=iscal Year 1996-97 Budget Capital Improvement Project with <br />reimbursable funding from ISTEA/STATE TSM/Measure I approved funding, budget <br />cost of $400,999 <br />ENVIRONMENTAL: <br />None <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends City Council authorize staff to proceed with advertising the North <br />La Cadena Signal Interconnect for project bids. <br />Report prepared by James R.
