HAYHURST AND ASSOCIATES <br />� <br />DECEMBER 17,1997 <br />BACKGROUND: On January 21, 1997, the City Council approved a cantraci to L.B. Hayhurst <br />and Associates for the campletion of a City-wide Classification Study. The results were disseminated <br />to each Depamnent Head and each City employ�e for their review to ensure accuracy of the duties <br />and job specifications, as well as job titles. The consultant met personally with those individuals who <br />had concerns about their "draft" job description, made eorrections where necessary and have now <br />returned the complet�ed product to the Personnel Department. <br />DISCUSSIQN/AN�iLYSI5: The review and updating of the job descriptions for the one hundred <br />plus different classifications ensures the City's compliance with the different Staxe mandated licenses <br />and certifications required for some positions as well as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) <br />which became effectnve on Tuly 26, 1932. � .
