Parrish, Assistant City Manager <br />SUBJECT: Approval of Aman Environmental Construction Contract Change <br />Orders for Street, Storm Drain, Intersection, and Landscaping <br />Improvements Surrounding the Arrowhead Regional Medical <br />Center Totaling $53,984 <br />DATE: February 24, 1998 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Four small change orders to the Aman Environmental Construction Contract for the <br />Street, Storm Drain, Intersection, and Landscaping Improvements surrounding the <br />Arrowhead Regional Medical Center are required for the reasons described below. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />Change Order #1 $3,387 <br />Installation of one inch air vacuum assembly on San Bernardino Avenue. <br />Change Order #2 $5,293 <br />For asphalt, barricades, traffic delineators, signage, flashers and labor for modifications <br />to the edge of roadway at the southwest comer of Pepper and San Bernardino <br />Avenues. <br />Change Order #3 $28,314 <br />Provides for a left turn at driveway located on the West Side of Pepper Avenue to <br />accommodate northbound truck traffic into commercial property (McNelius Trucking). <br />Change Order #4 $16,990 <br />For the relocation and reconstruction of RCP storm drain lines, the relocation of <br />manholes and the replacement of a fire hydrant due to conflict with storm drain lateral. <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />The aforementioned change orders are to be funded via an advance from the County of <br />San Bernardino as per the Medical Center MOU. The advancement of funds will be <br />repaid to the County (without interest) from fees paid by future development as their <br />part towards the mitigation of traffic impacts and storm drainage. <br />ITEM #11 <br />it <br />
